Arriving at Wibu-Systems: Your Best Travel Options

Whether you prefer a fast and direct route or a scenic and eco-friendly approach, here are the best ways to reach Wibu-Systems from Karlsruhe Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof).

By Taxi

For the quickest and most convenient option, take a taxi from the forecourt. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes and costs around €12.

By Foot

Enjoy a healthy and environmentally friendly walk! The distance to our premises is 2.3 km, which you can cover in about 30 minutes.

By Public Transport

Depending on your preferred route, you can choose from the following tram and S-Bahn options:

Option 1 (With Transfer, Shorter Walking Distance)

  1. Take one of the following trams or S-Bahn lines from Hauptbahnhof:
    • S4 towards Eppingen, Bretten, or Heilbronn/Öhringen
    • S7/S8 towards Tullastraße
    • S1/S11 towards Neureut, Hochstetten, or Leopoldshafen
    • Line 2 towards Wolfartsweier
  2. Get off at Ettlinger Tor/Staatstheater and walk to the above-ground tram stop of the same name.
  3. Transfer to tram line 5 towards Durlach Bahnhof.
  4. Get off at Wolfartsweierer Straße.
  5. From there, it’s a short 6-minute walk to our offices.

Option 2 (With Transfer, Alternative Route)

  1. Take tram line 3 towards Rintheim from Hauptbahnhof.
  2. Get off at Rüppurrer Tor and switch to tram line 5 towards Durlach Bahnhof.
  3. Get off at Wolfartsweierer Straße.
  4. Walk 6 minutes to reach Wibu-Systems.

Temporary Route Changes Due to Road Construction (March 10 – June 23, 2025): Alternative Travel Options to Wibu-Systems

Due to road construction between March 10 and June 23, 2025, public transport routes to Wibu-Systems will be affected, requiring adjustments to your travel plans. Depending on your preference, you can choose between routes with transfers for a shorter walking distance or a direct route with a slightly longer walk.

To ensure a smooth journey, please review the updated travel options and check the latest Karlsruhe Transport Authority (KVV) schedules for any additional changes.

Option 1 (With Transfer, Shortest Walking Distance)

  1. At Karlsruhe Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), take bus line 10 towards Kronenplatz and get off at Rüppurrer Tor.
  2. Transfer to tram line 5 towards Rintheim and ride until Wolfartsweierer Straße.
  3. From there, the walking distance to Wibu-Systems is approximately 6 minutes.

Option 2 (With Transfer, Alternative Routes)

  1. At Karlsruhe Main Station, take one of the following subway (U-Bahn) or tram (S-Bahn) lines:
    • Line 2 towards Wolfartsweier
    • Line S4 towards Heilbronn/Öhringen
    • Line S7 towards Tullastraße
    • Line S8 towards Tullastraße
    • Line S1/S11 towards Neureut Kirchfeld
  2. Get off at Ettlinger Tor/Staatstheater and switch to the above-ground tram stop.
  3. From there, take tram line 5 towards Rintheim and ride until Wolfartsweierer Straße.
  4. The walking distance to Wibu-Systems is approximately 6 minutes.

Option 3 (No Transfers, Longer Walking Distance)

Period: March 10, 2025 – May 28, 2025

  1. At Karlsruhe Main Station, take one of the following lines:
    • Line 2 towards Wolfartsweier
    • Line S4 towards Heilbronn/Öhringen
    • Line S7 towards Tullastraße
    • Line S8 towards Tullastraße
  2. Get off at Gottesauer Platz/BGV.
  3. From there, the walking distance to Wibu-Systems is approximately 12 minutes.

Period: May 29, 2025 – June 23, 2025 (Change to Option 3)

  • In addition to the lines listed above, you can also take Line S1/S11 towards Hirtenweg.
  • The walking distance remains approximately 12 minutes.
